The State of Queensland Historical Records site is searchable, and it is easy to find records if surnames are a little unusual. I find it useful to use in conjunction if electoral records to give some idea of names and dates. My grandson has Queensland pioneers from Germany as his maternal ancestors - Sonnenburg - so I entered the search dates covering the whole period for searching and came up with a list of Sonnenburgs - some of the names the family recognised so we went from there. Births from 1829 to 1914. Marriages from 1829 to 1938. Deaths from 1829 to 1983.
