The SFHS website has several online databases which can be searched for free:
Details of the contents of each can be found by following the links above. The only one I have made much use of is the Monumental Inscriptions database. Note that this does not provide full details of the MIs. You can search it by surname only, and this yields a list of the relevant MI reference numbers for each burial ground for which there are MIs recorded for the surname you search on. Having identified that there are MI transcripts which may be of interest you can obtain the full transcripts for the burial ground(s) in question by purchasing copies from SFHS (catalogue available on website). Alternatively you can visit Shropshire Archives in Shrewsbury, where copies of the SFHS monumental inscriptions are available on the open shelves; the reference numbers found by searching the online database will guide you quickly to the relevant entries.

The SFHS website also has a forum where you may be able to get answers to questions relating to Shropshire ancestors: shropshire-family-history-discussion
