Ordnance survey to launch new OS Gazetteer

    The Ordnance Survey are demonstrating at the end of the month a new Gazetteer product on their OS OpenData licence which means non commercial apps such as FTAnalyzer can utilise the data.

    When they launch this product it should be possible to use it as a means of geo-referencing data down to specific named locations visible on modern OS maps. This could mean that farms and places not indexed by Google would be able to be geo-referenced far more accurately.
