    hi folks,
The Northumberland Communities website contains examples of documents & photos that reflect Northumberland's heritage including examples of resources for family & local history research that can be found at the Northumberland Archives Service.

Over 6 dozen communities are represented. The amount available on each village's 'page' varies from place to place and between them opens a fascinating window into Northumberland's past. Their examples include photos, old maps, some militia lists, examples of old documents covering a variety of subjects; school logs; posters; some sound bites &c &c. I spent a very enjoyable few hours looking to see if any of my forebears were included.

    enjoy :)
