Thanks to a Facebook "like" for another source which I will post next I was directed to this amazing site. Having circumnavigated Newfoundland and landed at Anse aux Meadows on a beautiful September morning in 2000 I have a special affection for the province. I've also visited some of the abandoned communities in Labrador, lonely and haunting outposts of the whaling and fishing industry of a bygone age.
It's important to read the caveats about searching the site and pay attention to notices about links to newer material which may not have been incorporated yet.
