There are two Monmouthshire resources I use.

The first is MonGenes, a site which has a searchable church records database and other useful documents. You will need to apply to join to access the information and database. The main website, together with the link to join is here

As the site is hosted on Yahoo, you will also need an account there.

The second is Find My Past

which also has a searchable records database and images. A word of caution though. The names of the churches in the transcriptions are not reliable. The transcriptions were made from films containing the records of several churches, but the name of the first church was used in the transcriptions for all the churches on a film. The image should be viewed for the correct church.

An update to this post - MonGenes is no longer hosted by Yahoo, this is their new location.
