I saw this post on Facebook and thought it would be interesting to see if I could find out anything about Bridget Bartz, who it appears was a GI bride. However I drew a blank. I am not aware of a database of them, nor can I find her on the UK or Ancestry websites - or at least not with the scant info in the picture.

Anyone fancy this as a challenge?!

On Ancestry, there is an "outgoing" passenger - Bridget J Baatz - in 16 June 1946 with a reference to Pfc Irving W Baatz of Lorain, Ohio. Also a 1945 marriage of Irving W Baatz and Bridget J Dunne.
