Mention of Furneux Pelham in the latest newsletter (13 Jan '23) jangled the odd bell in my aged cranium. Where had I come across the name before? Ah, yes - Christopher Hadley's book "Hollow Places - An Unusual History of Land and Legend". It's not genealogy although some of the research described is familiar. It is, however, a fantastic read.
