For anyone with Irish ancestors that settled in the Frampton area of Dorchester County (now the Beauce County) in Quebec, there will be a "Great Gathering" of any and all descendants from July 3th to 5th, 2015. This will mark the 200th anniversary of the first Irish settlers to that area, and it is fitting that there will be a gathering to celebrate this occasion. More information will be forthcoming as the gathering nears, but you might want to see the website responsible, called Frampton Irish which has a large collection of surnames of those who settled in or near Frampton. There is a fee to view the actual data base, but it could be worth it for anyone looking for that long lost ancestor from Quebec. Dennis McLane has put a lot of time and effort in accumulating all this data, so have a look and say hi in their guest book.
