The following site is hosted by Library and Archives Canada and Biblioteque et Archives Nationales and is described as a "database mining tool". The criteria for inclusion was "...the presence of person names in the database, data quality, content of Canadian interest and free access to results."

I have made quite a few finds using this tool. The search is very simple to use. I realize that this not exactly what was intended for the resources section but this site is an excellent finding aid. The link is in French but the site comes up in English.
