Convicts to Tasmania from Northants

    There's a new Index online, to those convicts sent to Tasmania (or Van Diemens Land, as it was then). It can be found at Northants Convicts

    Further information on the Convicts can be found at the very helpful Tasmanian archives site.

    Are you also aware that the actual convict prison records are also online for Tasmania. I found a 4g grandfathers record there. Indexes and the scans of the original images all free.
