I'm having a clear out and general tidy up at home. I have sorted out some boxed sets of London and Devon censuses for various years. The boxed sets were being sold years ago, before findmypast and ancestry.co published them online. I don't use them anymore, but wondered if anyone might like them. The CDs contain the census images. They are not transcriptions

I too have quite a few of those boxed sets, and I guess it's about time I had a proper clear out! Some years back I did give a few sets to a charity shop.

In their day these CDs were so useful, but it's hard to imagine now how we managed without online census images and indexes.

Maybe your local Family History Society might be able to use them :)

I've corresponded with people in the past who like to own the CDs - they're particularly useful for One-Place Studies, but some people just feel happier owning a tangible record of their ancestors.

If there are sufficient people who have unwanted Census CDs I'll put a note in the newsletter directing people to this forum discussion (but remember not to publish your contact information in the forum - use private messaging).
