Belper is a small rural town in Derbyshire, with a population of around 21,000 in 2011. The nearest city is Derby.

This site offers plenty of information on researching your Belper ancestors. The site has not been updated since 2011 and unfortunately some links are missing, the ones that remain and the many Belper-related free transcriptions make it a worthwhile site to visit.
