Seax - Essex Archives Online

    This site gives search facilities of the documents available from the Essex Record Office. Seax is designed to work with cookies and JavaScript enabled in your browser. Please check that both are enabled before contacting the Record Office.

    There is no charge for searching Seax or for viewing any images other than parish registers and wills.For this you do not need to register or to log-in.

    Images of parish registers and wills are subject to subscription. This subscription service is called Essex Ancestors. New users of Essex Ancestors please register; existing users please log in. For the quickest way to find and view parish registers please click here.

    I've used Essex Ancestors - the images are very good & clear & you can find quite a lot for a fiver!
