    Hi Everyone!

Here's a weekly update on how well people have been doing over at LostCousins.
    • 20 New Members joined the LostCousins site
    • 3,285 New Entries have been added and
    • 186 Relatives have been matched.
Always good to see New Members joining. Another quiet week this week, New Members added another 20 but New Entries and Relatives Matched were both up this week.

New Members mean New Entries, and New Entries mean New Matches. Everyone wins.

    Good Luck Everyone!

Not quite, it was someone who - some years ago - had entered the same relatives on two accounts. Closing the duplicate account reduced the number of matched relatives by 202, but won't have impacted other members.

I have just noticed the absence of the mention of thoughts going out to people who have lost people. Has Covid disappeared in the UK?
It certainly hasn't here in NZ (so much for the stupid idea of elimination) numbers are still being reported as are the numbers of people who are dying with it and of it.

No, certainly not - see the chart for England in the latest ONS report . Although the infection rate is much lower than it was at the beginning of the year, it's about 7 times higher than this time last year (though from July last year the numbers were similar to now, and remained around that level for the next 3 months).

I'm not surprised that with so many storm clouds on the horizon (COVID, inflation, Ukraine etc) some people want to get out into the sunshine rather than sitting indoors working on their tree. Although we have many members in Australia and New Zealand, the membership is dominated by the northern hemisphere.
