Robert Ridgway has put together a useful website covering the large Shropshire parish of Ercall Magna. Of interest to family historians are his indexes of baptisms, marriages and burials from 1576 to 1949. The earlier ones (to the early 1800s) have been copied from the Shropshire Parish Register Society volumes for the parish, the later ones Robert has transcribed himself from the registers at Shropshire Archives.

Note that the indexes give only the date of the event, the name of the person(s) involved and (in the case of baptisms and burials) the person's abode (if available). The information on the abode provides a helpful addition to the information available for the event on the FamilySearch index. If you find an entry of interest and want to know more you can email Robert and ask for further information from his database, or of course you can look up the register entry at Shropshire Archives.

Robert has also indexed the census records for the parish from 1841 to 1901, with data from the 1911 census in progress.
