Does anyone know anything about a web site imaginatively called "DNA.Land"? It claims to be affiliated with Columbia University in New York and uses your data for scientific research. It's a very pretty looking web site too. Like gedmatch it analyses data collected by other companies.

They have a VERY small database - better to focus your efforts on GEDmatch IMHO.

Thanks Peter. I have actually signed up. I received two "High Certainty Matches", both 4th cousins and both also among my Gedmatch matches.

That's the problem - it's hard to imagine anyone using DNA.Land but not also using GEDmatch.

On gedmatch what does the * that is by some people, mean?

It indicates an alias, like the user names at this forum.
