Facebook groups covering family history

    There are several Facebook groups covering specific geographical areas for family history research. Some are controlled by the family history society for that area whilst others are stand alone. Subscribing to an FHS will cost you money, you might get the answer to your question by joining their Facebook group.

    In 2008 I set up a group for the Isle of Wight FHS (that’s the small island off the south coast of England not the county in Virginia, USA). The URL for that group is: https://www.facebook.com/groups/iw.fhs/
