    Although it does not have any records available on line, the Bedfordshire FHS has a very good comprehensive collection of records which are available on CD from the Society or their outlets (The Parish Chest and Genfair). Their latest publication list is available as a downloadable PDF file here .

    Thank you Heilan Lass for the information. My maternal grandfather Walter John Smith was born in Bedford on July 6, 1884. Anything that will help me track his ancestors is very valuable to me. Stephen L
