    The census reference details are included in the filename of your downloaded file, e.g.
    GBC_1921_RG15_05266_0035
    The schedule number is in a box at the top right hand corner of the image marked to be filled in by the Enumerator, i.e. has been entered by hand.

    It's straightforward once you get the hang of it - hope this helps.

    There was a Special Edition Newsletter published on the day the census was released which tells you about the census references and many other things that you need to know. You'll find additional information in more recent issues.

    A reminder for everyone else that you can step backwards through the newsletters using the links near the top of each issue. If you're looking for something that isn't very recent you can also search all of the newsletters since 2009 using the Google search at the top of any newsletter.
